Featured within the exhibit is a slow moving pool simulating a flowing river through a jungle environment and a 25-foot waterfall. A large scale reverse osmosis system supplies rain water to not only the exhibit but the newly constructed green house that contains exotic tropical botany. The life support systems in the pool include chemical monitoring and control, ultraviolet sterilization and multiple redundant filtration systems to maintain a habitable environment which simulates Amazonian life.
