In Design-Assist, our team will recommend design or material modifications that will boost energy efficiency, streamline execution, reduce costs or increase occupant comfort. Plan & Spec

This frequently used approach allows construction companies to bid on a project that is already predesigned. This approach is particularly useful for clients who know exactly what they want and already have a feasible design.

D.V. Brown works well on Plan & Spec projects and is able to bring your project to life based on the previously done design. When DVB submits a Plan & Spec bid we provide an estimate, lump sum, or guarantee max price with costs broken down into the proposal. Every detail is laid out to create the best project plan and meet the owner’s needs. Our experience with Design-Build allows us to understand the design process used by other mechanical experts and engineers. We are always looking for ways to add value on every project.

Value Engineering

VDC/BIM

DVB’s VDC/BIM services utilize the most current technology available in the industry to capture precise images of a structure. We believe that for the best quality, the best tools are required to tie design and execution together.

Issues that could arise in the field and cause costly delays are resolved in the design phase saving time and money. We have consistently stayed ahead of the curve with the use of the latest available software to help deliver successful project outcomes. Our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) team improves design to help provide faster and more accurate project construction.

By implementing 3D building models, real-world capture, and 3D design files, D.V. Brown is able to obtain a high level of detail that allows for pre-construction walk-throughs, clash detection, and prefabrication of systems. Using this technology aids us in validating designs and guide decisions based on budget and logistics.

We have the ability to draw all mechanical and plumbing systems at levels of detail ranging from LOD-100 to LOD-400.  We house a dedicated design staff that allows us to scale to any size project while controlling design quality.
